A little sneak peek. Watercolor was fun, now I’m sort of over it.

Hooray, internet. Haven’t logged in for a week or so because where I am right now, the fun that can be exploited from a fast internet connection seems to be an uncommon phenomenon which hasn’t been fully introduced to the people. Anyway, here’s a little peek of what I’m currently working on.
So, I’ve been away from the city for a while to get some relaxation and I just feel the need to tell you that I, with all kindness of fate, have found what I was looking for. I “guested” (char murag true) in an art class organized by a family friend and introduced me to acrylic. I’m in love with this medium at the moment. This is a WIP of my very first acrylic painting. And I am Happy with it, too. Especially the flowers because honestly, I am not good with painting flowers and I wasn’t too confident about painting a whole wreath of them without a reference photo to look at while working but I just went on with it and gathered some flowers in my mind and painted them freehand, without primary sketches whatsoever. It was fun, really. And it’s not half bad, right? The whole experience was exhilarating. It makes me happy that there are aged students who just found their love for art because of taking this class and it’s nice that even though they think they started late, that they’ll have a hard time learning to paint, they are still very eager. Some were even encouraged to take the hobby to the next level. And even though they are busy working-moms, they still find time to attend the class and just have fun with the rest of the younger students.
I will TRY to post a picture of the finished work and the other works of the students after the exhibit.
My father asked me to draw his friend because he’s planning to give it to him as a gift.
I’m quite pissed about this one because the quality of the reference photo is that of a webcam’s. I cannot see some fine details…which leaves the rest of the hazy features drawn by assumptions. And it’s my first time to draw an aged man so I’m not really confident about going hasty…So right now, I’m basically a little angry at my father for putting me through this but mostly, I am angry at my self for not believing that I can do it. I HATE SELF-DOUBT.
Hahaha yey my first personal gif.
Working on this tonight while listening to reggae music (PARA CHUY BA). I would probably finish this sooner if I weren’t always taking internet breaks. But i like the slow progress cuz i don’t have any canvas left so I’m taking it slow and savoring every moment. CHOZ!
oh goodie, it’s the weekend. i’m working on this again.
that feeling when you call yourself an artist just so you have an excuse to never clean your room…EVER.
I’M STILL ALIVE!
I did this before on an 8ftx3ft plywood. I figured I will never get to finish something that big so I just made a small version of it using water color. Again, for the same purpose of practicing landscape (and also an excuse to post something).
let us just pretend she’s Sansa of house Stark to be wed to Willas of house Tyrell, shall we? and let’s stop at that. moving on with my life now:)
merry Christmas! no more exams. yay.
good morning. started a little something just to wake me up before i can start my review for my quizzes later.
i must say, using charcoal paper for water color painting is not as bad as i thought it would be.
i had to stop working though cuz the hair is tedious:) hahaha.
i need to have an art buddy to help me in my fallow periods, seriously. was gonna give up on drawing but i realized i’m not ready to let go of my hopes and dreams just yet.
leche lang. the face is so small. just a little bigger than 1peso coin. i had to carefully work with a tiny brush. but i’m just glad i din’t mess it up.
***at home on a Saturday night. pakyas, walay laag:(
