A henna tattoo I did for a friend who loves monkeys.

my friend volunteered for my henna practice… and i’m still after the shadowing effect so i just used one of my sketches as a reference. it’s brown but if you’re gonna set it overnight, the color will be darker—black in fact. just rinse it in the morning and it will look cleaner. i used cotton buds instead of brushes.

i’m up late cuz i’m practicing henna tattoo on myself. the one on the arm is the very traditional just plain black henna. while the one on my leg is the challenge. i wanted to put shadows so as to create an effect. i was teary eyed when i finished this cuz i remembered that some jackass told me i couldn’t do it. that it’s not possible..that something like this isn’t advisable for henna tattoo but i have proven him wrong. I believe i can…and here it is, i have done it.

some people may bring you down and talk shit to you but don’t let these stop you from challenging yourself…if they’re too afraid to try something they haven’t tried before…if they are too afraid of what they do not know, then they’re missing a great deal of their lives…at least we know we have put ourselves out there and we tried even if we fail.
